The Nigerian University Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation for Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health and Environmental Health Sciences for Fountain University, Osogbo.
This is made known in a statement on the official social media handle of the university recently.
This development has made all four programmes offered by the College of Basic Medical and Health Sciences accredited by the NUC.
The statement read, “During the past few weeks, the process of finalizing the accreditation program for Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science has been completed. The medical department started a few years ago and has finally been legalized as a registered and fully offering course programme for the University.
“The University has made trivial effort in recognising the medical department in the University. Colleges have been built and constructed for the College of Basic Medical and Health Sciences. Comfortable Classrooms and facilities have been provided for the comfort of the students.
“The Nigerian University Commission has granted full accreditation to all four programmes offered by the College of Basic Medical and Health Sciences. The four accredited programmes include Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health and Environmental Health Sciences.
“The University now recognises Nursing and the other programmes have an offered course in the University.”
